Course Description
This 2-day certification course presented by AMET will teach participants everything they need to know about cosmetic lasers and light based systems. After a comprehensive overview of laser history, laser physiology and laser parameters, a detailed discussion about the laser-and light based systems on the market (including the application of radio-frequency) will allow the participant to identify the ‘must have’s’ of a system that can deliver optimal results and suit the needs of their practice. From laser safety, preventative measures, pre-and post treatments instructions, contra-indications, side-effects and the management thereof to client selection, client education, administrative requirements, legal issues, charting, treatment records and documentation requirements; the participant will learn how to effectively develop the best protocols and procedures and market them effectively!
The instructor will provide skin analysis and skin typing insight and hands-on knowledge in laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, acne treatment, treatment of varicose veins and the non-surgical facelift. The participant will receive the necessary tools to excel.

Learn about laser safety, preventative measures, administrative requirements, and regulative entities for laser safety, pre-and post-treatment instruction, laser treatment contra-indications, side-effects and the management thereof.
Learn the pro’s and con’s of laser-and light based systems on the market today; including CO2 (feather Touch, Ultra), Ebrium Yag, Plasma, Fractional (Fraxel), Ebrium YSGG, Long-pulsed Yag (CoolTouch, Lyra), Pulsed Light (IPL’s, Photoderm), Radiofrequency (Thermage), Elos Technology, Q-switched Ruby, Pulsed dye laser (Candela), Long-pulsed Alexandrite laser (GentleLASE, CoolPulse).
Learn to identify what system is right for your practice depending on your goals and practice needs and the goals/ needs of your target clients.
